Introduction

When we took a look at our first product from Rantopad, this was the first we had really heard of them. In all honesty, I had never seen their products for sale before, I came across them through a connection on LinkedIN and they agreed to send some of their stuff in for review, which I am glad they did. Rantopad has some great gaming based peripherals and their bold colour choice is sure to grab your eye. Whether you like them or hate them, there is no denying the eye-catching products Rantopad has in its arsenal which, I, myself, really do love. It’s time for companies to make more bold products instead of the same old boring, tried and tested designs and Rantopad have surely stepped up to the plate as far as this is concerned.

Rantopad Logo

Today we will be taking a quick look at the Rantopad GTR Plastic Gaming Mousepad. These Plastic mousepads are designed for users who like a more slippery surface rather than the standard resistance offered from standard cloth mousepads. The GTR comes in a number of different colours and is designed from a carbon resin material which while hard, does offer a bit of flexibility to it.

Closer Look

The GTR has a nice design to it and will definitely catch the eyes of those who walk past it. While it does come in a few different colour versions, all of them have a thin border going around the outside of the pad with a more solid colour inside. In the top right we have the Rantopad bull logo and over on the top left-hand side, we can see the Rantopad GTR branding. It really is nice to see the GTR have such an eye-grabbing design while remaining simplistic. The bottom is of course designed to be non-slip so this won’t be moving around your desk during those longer fragging sessions and it’s plastic top means it will be easy to clean when need be.

Final Thoughts

When it all comes down to it, there really isn’t much to say about the Rantopad GTR. It’s design is one that is quite subjective, though I must say, I really do like it and at the end of the day, it’s a mousepad, you either like it or you don’t. What I will say, is if you are used to your more standard mousepads for gaming, this will have a noticeable change in your gameplay, especially if you are into FPS games as the slicker surface definitely takes a bit of getting used to.

All in all, it’s a decent mousepad and while the £26 price tag may put some users off, those into this type of mousepad may have no problem paying the premium price tag it carries.

Big thanks to Rantopad for sending the GTR in for review.
