Taipei, Taiwan (18th April, 2017) — ASUS today announced the RX 500 Series, an all-new lineup of gaming graphics cards powered by the latest AMD® Radeon® RX 580, RX 570, RX 560 and RX 550 graphics processing units (GPUs) and engineered with ultra-fast performance, advanced cooling, best reliability and personalized styling features to deliver the best experiences in all gaming scenarios.

The new models include the high-performance ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) Strix RX 580, RX 570 and RX 560 Series with ASUS Aura Sync illumination for ultimate gaming power and personalization, ASUS Dual RX 580 Series featuring patented wing-blade design and 0dB technology for the best VR and  eSports gaming experiences, the extra-durable ASUS Expedition RX 570 Series for enhanced reliability during heavy gaming sessions and endurance situations, and ASUS RX 560 and RX 550 — delivering sweet spot performance that’s perfect for compact gaming PC builds.

ASUS graphics cards are produced using Auto-Extreme technology — an industry-first 100-percent-automated production process — and are built using premium Super Alloy Power II components that enhance efficiency, reduce power loss, decrease component buzzing under load, and lower thermal temperatures for unsurpassed quality and reliability. They also include GPU Tweak II for intuitive performance tweaking. With one click, the Gaming Booster function maximizes system performance by removing redundant processes and allocating all available resources automatically. An included one-year[1] or 14-day XSplit Gamecaster premium license[2] lets gamers easily stream or record gameplay via a convenient, in-game overlay. The overlay also displays GPU clock speed, temperature, and VRM usage, and has GPU Tweak II controls, so gamers can choose a gaming profile and boost performance with just one click.

ROG Strix RX 580, RX 570 and RX 560 Series

ROG Strix RX 580, RX 570 and RX 560 are engineered with advanced cooling and reliability features to deliver ultra-fast performance, plus ASUS Aura Sync illumination for the ultimate in PC personalization.

ROG Strix RX 580 is available in three different configurations with respective boosted clock speeds in OC mode of 1360 (Standard Edition), 1380 (OC Edition), and 1431MHz (Top Edition), offering gamers great flexibility. Every Strix RX 580 graphics cards is equipped with MaxContact, an industry-first GPU-cooling technology featuring an enhanced copper heat-spreader that provides a 10X-flatter surface for up to 2X more contact area with the GPU than traditional heat spreaders — resulting in improved thermal transfer. The latest Strix RX 580 graphics are constructed with a 2.5-slot width, providing 40 percent more heat sink surface area for heat dissipation compared to previous two-slot designs — delivering dramatically cooler and quieter performance.

ROG Strix RX 570 and RX 560 graphics cards are equipped with DirectCU II cooling technology, with direct-GPU-contact heat pipes that transport more heat away from the GPU to outperform reference designs, achieving up to 30-percent-cooler gaming performance.

ROG Strix RX 580, RX 570 and RX 560 feature patented wing-blade 0dB fan design, delivering maximized air flow and 105-percent-greater static pressure over the heat sink and the innovative 0dB technology stops the fan completely when the GPU temperature remains below a set level, for light gaming sessions in total silence. The fans are also IP5X-certified dust resistant for improved reliability. The cards benefit from FanConnect II, a set of hybrid-controlled fan header(s)[3], and a comprehensive set of tuning options with GPU Tweak II to optimize system cooling even further.

ROG Strix RX 580, RX 570 and RX 560 also come with Aura Sync, RGB LED-synchronization technology that enables complete gaming system personalization. Strix RX 580 features a VR-friendly design with two HDMI ports lets gamers keep a VR headset connected to their system for immersive, virtual-reality gaming anytime.

ASUS Dual RX 580 Series

ASUS Dual RX 580 provides ‘sweet spot’ graphics performance that is ideal for both VR and eSports gaming. With patented wing-blade fans, Dual RX 580 graphics cards deliver maximized air flow and 105-percent-greater static pressure over the heat sink, while operating at an up to 3X-quieter volume than reference cards. Dual RX 580’s innovative 0dB technology stops the fan completely when the GPU temperature remains below a set level, enabling players to enjoy light gaming sessions in complete silence. The fans are also IP5X-certified dust resistant for improved reliability.

The new cards also come with a VR-friendly design with two HDMI ports letting gamers keep a VR headset connected to their system for immersive, virtual-reality gaming anytime.

ASUS Expedition RX 570 Series

ASUS Expedition RX 570 graphics cards feature durable designs for enhanced reliability, making them the perfect choice for heavily-used gaming systems. The new cards come with dual-ball-bearing fans that eliminate the problem of oil drying found in sleeve-bearing fans, resulting in 2X-longer lifespans. With reduced friction, they also run smoother, further improving card lifespan and cooling efficiency — and the innovative 0dB technology stops the fan completely when the GPU temperature remains below a set level, for light gaming sessions in total silence.

ASUS operates the iCafé Lab, a testing environment that simulates the unique and demanding conditions found in internet cafés. Expedition RX 570 graphics cards each passed 144 hours of dedicated iCafe Lab tests — including a two-hour reboot test and 15-hour 3D Mark test with heavy loading — certifying them for use as a diskless systems and ensuring they are ready for non-stop gaming performance. ASUS iCafé Lab engineers also subjected Expedition Series graphics cards to lengthy stability tests with the most popular games to ensure they deliver the very best gaming experiences.

ASUS RX 560 and RX 550 Series

ASUS RX 560 and RX 550 graphics cards are equipped with a dust-resistant fan certified to IP5X level under the exacting International Protection Marking scheme (IP code), meaning that dust is unable to enter the card in sufficient quantities to interfere with the card’s operation — improving reliability and lifespan. RX 560 is equipped with a dual-fan design that delivers the sweet spot performance. RX 550’s single-fan design is perfect for compact or smaller gaming PC builds.
