EA and Lucasfilm Games reveal Star Wars Zero Company, a new tactics game set in the Clone Wars
Star Wars Zero Company is a new game announced by Electronic Arts (EA) and Lucasfilm Games during Star Wars Celebration Japan. This is a single-player, turn-based tactics game that will come out in 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox.
The game is being made by Bit Reactor, the studio behind the development, working closely with Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games.
In this game, players will play as a character named Hawks, who is a former Republic officer. He leads a team of skilled fighters known as Zero Company. These team members come from different parts of the galaxy and have different backgrounds. They must work together to fight a new danger that could destroy the galaxy.
The story is set during the final days of the Clone Wars, which makes it exciting for fans of that part of Star Wars history.
Star Wars Zero Company is not like a regular action game. It is a turn-based tactics game. This means that players will have to plan carefully and make smart moves during battles.
According to Greg Foertsch, CEO and Creative Director at Bit Reactor, the team wants to give players a deep strategy experience that also feels like it belongs in the Star Wars universe. He said, “Our goal is to mix exciting gameplay with a great story that lets players make important choices.”
Douglas Reilly, the GM and VP of Lucasfilm Games, also shared his thoughts. He said that Lucasfilm Games has wanted to make a Star Wars tactics game for a long time. He believes Bit Reactor is the perfect team to make it happen.
Customise your squad in Star Wars Zero Company
Players will not only follow the story but also create and personalise their own team of fighters. They can choose different Star Wars character classes and species, like Clone Troopers, astromechs, and even a Jedi. Each character can be given different clothes, weapons, and special skills.
Hawks, the main character, can also be fully customised. Players will decide what he looks like and what kind of fighter he is.
The game also includes a base of operations, where players can plan missions and collect information using a network of informants. This will help them stay ahead of their enemies.
Team bonding and special powers
As players move forward in the story, members of Star Wars Zero Company will grow closer to each other. This teamwork will unlock powerful combat abilities that can help turn battles in their favour. Every mission will be different, and players must choose the right team and plan wisely.
With a deep story, custom characters, and exciting battles, Star Wars Zero Company promises to be a fresh and fun game for both Star Wars fans and tactics game lovers.
