Exciting new gameplay of Directive 8020 shines at Gamescom 2025

At Gamescom 2025, fans were treated to an exciting first look at Directive 8020, the upcoming sci-fi survival horror game from Supermassive Games. SECTOR shared 18 minutes of raw gameplay, giving players a taste of the tense and cinematic experience the studio is creating.

The game takes place aboard a spaceship on a mission to protect humanity. Things quickly turn dangerous when a hostile alien begins stalking the dark halls of the ship. To survive, players must explore carefully, craft weapons from scrap, and use stealth to avoid being caught. The alien threat adds constant fear, making every step on the ship risky.

One of the most interesting features is the new Turning Points system. This story mechanic lets players make choices that truly matter. Decisions will change endings, open secret routes, and even decide who in the crew lives or dies. The branching story ensures no two playthroughs will be the same.
