Nioh 3 demo brings powerful early action this January
KOEI TECMO America and Team NINJA have shared exciting news for fans. A brand-new demo for Nioh 3, the next dark samurai action RPG, is coming on 29 January 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Windows PC through Steam. The reveal was made during The Game Awards 2025, along with fresh details about early bonuses and special editions.
The upcoming demo lets players test their skills before the full game arrives. You can play alone or join friends in online multiplayer with up to three players. Once you finish the demo, your progress will carry over to the full version of the game, making it easier to continue your journey when Nioh 3 launches on 6 February 2026. More details about the demo will be shared later, but this early slice already gives fans something to look forward to.
The developers also revealed new rewards for early buyers. Players who claim the early purchase bonus will receive two special armour sets inspired by the heroes from the earlier games. These include the Youngblood Armor (Samurai) worn by William in the first Nioh, and the Lone Wolf’s Armor (Ninja) worn by Hiddy in Nioh 2. Both items will be unlocked in-game by redeeming the Hellfrost Armor Set, which is part of the early purchase bonus.
For anyone who wants to revisit the very beginning of the series, the Steam version of Nioh: Complete Edition is also available at a huge 90% discount. It’s a great chance for newcomers to jump into the franchise before the third game arrives.
Pre-orders for Nioh 3 are now open in both physical and digital form. Players can also choose to buy the Digital Deluxe Edition or the Season Pass on its own. A SteelBook edition is available too, which includes the base game and two extra DLCs. All versions come with the same early purchase bonus when redeemed on PlayStation Store or Steam.
Fans who want something special can pre-order the exclusive Nioh 3 Treasure Box from the NIS America Store. This edition includes the base game, a Scampuss Furball Netsuke Charm Keychain, an original desk pad, the official artbook, and a soundtrack CD. It is made for collectors who want more than the standard release.
Nioh 3 release date
Nioh 3 is still in development and will release on 6 February 2026 for PS5 and Windows PC via Steam. The game supports both Japanese and English voices, along with text options in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
