Anker launches impressive Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro earbuds with AI features and smart cases

Anker has officially introduced its new Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro and Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Max wireless earbuds. The latest models bring improved voice quality, stronger active noise cancellation, AI-powered features, and smart charging cases with built-in touchscreens.

The new earbuds are powered by Anker’s Thus AI chip, which works together with eight microphones and two bone conduction sensors. According to the company, this setup helps reduce background noise during calls and makes voices sound clearer, even in busy environments.

Anker says the AI system can separate the user’s voice from surrounding sounds in real time. The company also claims the bone conduction sensors help capture speech more accurately when users speak quietly in calmer environments.

The Thus AI chip also enables voice commands on both models. Users can access up to 20 different voice controls, with Anker claiming responses arrive in less than one second.

Both earbuds feature Adaptive ANC 4.0 technology. Using eight microphones, the system continuously checks surrounding sounds and adjusts noise cancellation automatically. Anker says the technology processes audio information up to 384,000 times per second and offers up to twice the noise-cancelling performance of the previous Soundcore Liberty 4 Pro.

For audio quality, both models include HearID 5.0. This feature creates a personalised sound profile based on a hearing test. Anker has also added AI Sound Enhancement, which aims to restore audio quality that may be lost during Bluetooth transmission.

Battery life is rated at up to 6.5 hours with active noise cancellation turned on. With the charging case included, total listening time reaches up to 28 hours. Both models also support Bluetooth 6.1, multipoint connectivity, Apple Find My, Google Fast Pair, and IP55 dust and water resistance.

The biggest difference between the two earbuds is the charging case. The Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro comes with a 0.96-inch TFT touchscreen on the front of the case. Meanwhile, the Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Max features a larger 1.78-inch AMOLED touchscreen display.

The Liberty 5 Pro Max also includes an AI Note-Taker feature. Through the Soundcore app, it can create meeting transcripts, identify speakers, and highlight action points after conversations. This feature is exclusive to the Pro Max model.

AI translation is available on both versions. However, the Pro Max allows users to access translation through both the earbuds and the charging case, while the standard Liberty 5 Pro only supports translation through the earbuds.

The new earbuds are available now. The Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro is priced at $170 and comes in black, blue, pink, and white. The Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Max costs $230 and is available in black and gold.
