Stunning Onimusha Way of the Sword demo excites fans
Capcom has brought excitement to Gamescom 2025 by showing a playable demo of Onimusha: Way of the Sword. A full 12 minutes of gameplay footage has been shared, giving players their first proper look at the upcoming action game.

The demo shows fast sword battles set in Edo-era Kyoto. This old city is no longer peaceful, as it has been covered by dark clouds known as Malice. Players must fight their way through streets and ruins, facing deadly enemies and uncovering secrets hidden in the shadows.
Enemies include the Genma, terrifying creatures from the underworld. These monsters bring danger at every step, and battles against them highlight the game’s dark fantasy style. The hero of the story is a brave samurai who uses the Oni Gauntlet, a magical weapon that grants powerful skills. With it, he can fight back against the growing evil and protect the land.
