Celebrate God of War’s 20th anniversary with epic DualSense Controller
Sony has announced a special treat for fans to celebrate the 20th anniversary of God of War. Revealed during today’s State of Play, a brand-new DualSense controller inspired by Kratos is launching this October.
The design of the controller reflects the Ghost of Sparta himself, with colours based on Kratos’ ash-grey skin and his famous scarlet tattoo. This limited edition is more than just a controller — it’s a tribute to Kratos’ long journey across four generations of PlayStation consoles, two handhelds, and more than a dozen games since his debut on PlayStation 2.

Santa Monica Studio’s Associate Art Director, Dela Longfish, explained that the team wanted the design to feel authentic. The red omega tattoo set against the grey tone was chosen because it is one of the most iconic parts of Kratos’ look, present in both the Greek and Norse sagas. The goal was to make sure this controller represents Kratos’ story and legacy that fans have followed for two decades.
