Marvel’s Wolverine shines with thrilling PS5 debut in 2026

Marvel’s Wolverine is finally ready to slash its way onto PlayStation 5 in Fall 2026, and fans have plenty of reasons to be excited. After four years since the first reveal, the game has now shown its first full gameplay trailer during the latest State of Play.

The new footage gave players a close look at Logan in action. Combat looks raw, bloody, and fast, almost like something straight out of the Ninja Gaiden series. Alongside the brutal battles, the trailer also teased different environments that Wolverine will explore during his journey, from dark city streets to rugged landscapes.

Insomniac Games is making sure this feels like a true Wolverine experience. Creative Director Marcus Smith, Executive Producer Eric Monacelli, and Senior Project Manager Jess Reiner Reed explained how much detail is going into the project. From the claws and combat animations to iconic Marvel characters like Mystique and Omega Red, everything is being shaped to match Wolverine’s world.

The game also confirmed the voice and performance actor for Logan. Liam McIntyre, best known for playing Spartacus in the TV series, JD Fenix in Gears of War 4 and 5, and Taron Malico in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, will bring the legendary hero to life. His performance in the trailer already shows promise, capturing the grit and strength that fans expect from Wolverine.
