MSI at PAX Australia 2025: a showcase of next-gen gaming
MSI returned to PAX Australia 2025 with a spectacular display of gaming innovation. From 10 to 12 October at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, visitors explored the latest MSI desktops, laptops, handhelds, and monitors at Booth #8020. The showcase was presented in collaboration with Intel Australia and Scorptec Computers, offering gamers both hands-on experiences and live tournaments.

The MEG Vision X AI (2nd Gen) desktop captured attention with its Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor and GeForce RTX 5090 graphics. Its 13-inch touchscreen lets gamers monitor and adjust settings in real time, while Silent Storm Cooling 4 keeps the system quiet and efficient, making it ideal for high-performance gaming.

MSI’s portable Claw 8 AI+ handheld impressed with PC-level gaming in a compact form. It features an 8-inch Full HD 120 Hz touch display, Intel AI upscaling, 80 Wh battery, and Cooler Boost HyperFlow cooling. The two colour options, Polar Tempest and Sandstorm, combine sleek design with long-lasting portable performance.

For gamers and creators needing desktop power on the move, the Raider 18 HX AI laptop is a standout. It offers Intel Core Ultra 9-285HX processors, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, 18-inch Mini LED UHD+ display, 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR, and 100% DCI-P3 colour. Additional features like OverBoost Ultra cooling, DDR5 memory, PCIe Gen 5 storage, Wi-Fi 7, and dual Thunderbolt 5 ports ensure a seamless experience.

The Z890 Series Motherboards were also on show, built for Intel’s latest CPUs. They provide AI BIOS tuning, Wi-Fi 7, Thunderbolt 5, and reinforced components for reliable and stable gaming performance. Gamers can choose from MEG, MPG, and MAG tiers to match their build style and performance needs.

Making its local debut, the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16G VENTUS 3X PZ graphics card impressed with rear-mounted power connectors for a clean setup. Its TORX FAN 5.0, Core Pipes, and nickel-plated baseplate deliver excellent cooling, while NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation boost 4K gaming performance up to 5.5×.

MSI’s QD-OLED Gaming Monitors delivered unmatched colour and contrast. With refresh rates up to 500 Hz and 0.03 ms response times, the displays provide super-smooth visuals. OLED Care 2.0 and True Color Calibration ensure long-term accuracy and reliability.

The booth offered exciting activities and prizes. Fans competed in 3v3 tournaments for Apex Legends, Counter-Strike 2, and Fortnite. The MSI Claw Arcade Machine, EA SPORTS FC 26 Experience Zone, and Scorptec promotions added more fun. Giveaways included MSI Claw handhelds, RTX 5070 graphics cards, gaming monitors, keyboards, mice, and exclusive MSI swag.
