Acer has officially introduced the new Acer Predator Atlas 8 gaming handheld, expanding its Predator gaming lineup with a portable device made for serious PC gamers. The new handheld is powered by Intel Arc G-Series processors and is designed to deliver strong gaming performance while keeping battery life under control during long gaming sessions.

The Predator Atlas 8 runs on Windows 11 and comes with access to XBOX Game Pass, allowing players to enjoy hundreds of games straight out of the box. Acer says the device is built to make gaming easier and faster with quick access to settings, launchers, and system tools.

Inside the handheld, users can get up to Intel Arc B390 graphics with support for ray tracing. Acer also included Intel XeSS 3 AI upscaling technology, which helps improve frame rates and reduce lag during demanding games. The company says this allows smoother gameplay without putting too much pressure on the hardware.

The handheld comes with an 80 Wh battery and Intel Endurance Gaming technology, which balances power use and performance to help extend gaming time away from the charger.

Cooling is another big focus for the Predator Atlas 8. Acer added a dual-fan setup inspired by its Predator gaming laptops. The system includes the first metal fan used in a gaming handheld. The Predator AeroBlade fan uses 89 ultra-thin blades to improve airflow and push hot air out faster. Acer claims this setup can increase airflow by up to 10 percent compared to normal fan designs.

For visuals, the Predator Atlas 8 features an 8-inch WUXGA touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate and support for VRR. The screen also reaches 500 nits brightness and uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection to reduce scratches and glare. The 16:10 aspect ratio gives players more screen space while gaming.

Audio is handled by dual 2W speakers with DTS Ultra support for wider and clearer sound. The handheld also includes dual microphones with AI noise reduction for cleaner voice chat during multiplayer gaming.

Connectivity options include dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, UHS-II microSD support, Intel Killer WiFi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. These features allow faster wireless connections and easy expansion for storage and accessories.

The control layout is designed for comfort and flexibility. Full-size analog sticks are included along with adjustable trigger modes. Players can switch between instant-click controls for shooter games and Hall-effect analog controls for racing and simulation games.

Acer also brought PredatorSense to a handheld device for the first time. The app allows users to monitor system performance, adjust RGB lighting, change performance modes, and manage gameplay settings using a dedicated button.

The Acer Predator Atlas 8 is expected to launch in North America, EMEA, and Australia starting October 2026. Pricing and final specifications will vary depending on the region.
