Backbone Pro Xbox Edition brings powerful and flexible gaming to all devices
The new Backbone Pro Xbox Edition is here, and it’s built to make gaming easier, faster, and more fun across almost any device you own. This next-generation controller has been fully redesigned for comfort and performance, supporting phones, tablets, PCs, smart TVs, and even VR headsets.
Weighing only 199 grams, it feels light in hand but strong in use. It features full-size ALPS thumbsticks, smooth Hall Effect triggers, and laser-etched grips that help you keep control during long gaming sessions. There are also two rear buttons for extra functions, letting players fine-tune their setup the way they like.
The controller supports two modes. You can play in wired mode using USB-C for zero lag, or go wireless with Bluetooth Low Energy, which offers up to 40 hours of battery life on a single charge. The new FlowState feature makes it even better you can switch from your phone to your PC or TV instantly without having to reconnect each time.
Just like the earlier Backbone One, it works with the Backbone App, where you can access platforms like Xbox Cloud Gaming, Xbox Remote Play, Apple Arcade, Steam Link, and PlayStation Remote Play. This means you can jump straight into games like Forza Horizon 5 and Minecraft using your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate trial, which is included for one month.
Backbone says the Pro Edition went through over 9,000 design changes and 30 research studies before release. Using 3D camera tracking, they tested thousands of hand movements to make sure the controller feels natural and comfortable for everyone.
