MONTECH launched HS series cases launched with reversible layout and chimney-style airflow

MONTECH has announced the launch of its new HS series PC cases, introducing the HS01 and HS02 models. These cases aim to blend modern aesthetics with advanced structural design, and they bring several features that target both performance builders and style-focused PC enthusiasts. The HS series officially launches on April 30, 2025, at 9 AM ET, with a starting price of $99.90 USD.

A bold new approach to case design

At the core of the HS series is a fully reversible layout, allowing users to flip the case orientation based on their viewing preferences. This flexibility is supported by rotatable PCIe slots, which let you mount your graphics card either vertically or horizontally—without needing additional brackets or risers.

Another standout feature is the chimney-style airflow, which pushes air from the bottom of the case and exhausts it through the top. According to MONTECH, this vertical airflow structure improves cooling performance by up to 10% compared to standard front-to-back layouts. The case also supports a wide range of fan and AIO liquid cooling configurations, helping maintain thermal performance even under load.

Two styles, one platform

The two cases in the HS series cater to different visual tastes:

  • HS01 uses a mesh front panel for a rugged, industrial feel while also improving airflow.
  • HS02 offers a sleek all-glass front panel with a distinctive 8° curved design, creating a minimalist look without sacrificing build quality.

Despite the design differences, both models share the same internal layout and construction quality.

Neat internals and easy cable management

The HS series adopts a “Sink-In Layout”, where the motherboard tray is recessed and aligned with the fan mounts. This setup offers a cleaner look when viewed from the side. There’s also support for BTF (Back-To-Front) motherboards, which route cables behind the board itself—keeping the main chamber cable-free.

Additionally, the PSU is positioned at the top front, rather than the traditional bottom-rear location. This makes cable routing more straightforward and frees up space for airflow and storage below.

Enhanced durability and cooling

For durability, HS01 uses a one-piece mesh structure with reinforced four-corner pillars and an adjustable fan bracket. Meanwhile, the cooling performance gets a further boost from dual rear fan mounts, now repositioned for better exhaust. This design not only improves airflow but also clears up more space inside the case.

PRO edition with pre-installed fans

The PRO versions of HS01 and HS02 come with five pre-installed GF120 V2 ARGB fans—three mounted at the bottom and two at the rear. These fans support 29 lighting modes and provide out-of-the-box cooling performance. It’s an attractive option for users who want a quick start to their build without needing to purchase extra cooling components.

Montech HS series pricing and availability

The HS series is available in both black and white colour options. Here’s the official pricing:

  • HS01 (Black & White): $99.90 USD
  • HS01 PRO (Black & White): $129.90 USD
  • HS02 (Black & White): $109.90 USD
  • HS02 PRO (Black & White): $139.90 USD
