Sony’s new Pulse Elevate speakers bring amazing gaming sound

Sony has announced its first ever wireless desktop speakers, the Pulse Elevate speakers, during the recent State of Play showcase. These speakers are made to give players a more powerful and lifelike sound experience, whether gaming on a PS5, PC, Mac, or even on the go with PlayStation Portal and smartphones.

The Pulse Elevate speakers builds on the success of the Pulse Elite headset and Pulse Explore earbuds. Sony has packed the same advanced audio technology, including planar magnetic drivers, into a speaker format that fits easily on any gaming desk. These drivers deliver sound across the full spectrum, letting players hear every detail exactly as developers intended. On PS5, they work with Tempest 3D AudioTech, making in-game sounds even more immersive.

To add deeper layers to sound, the speakers also come with built-in woofers for rich bass tones. This means you can feel the impact of action scenes and enjoy a fuller soundscape without extra gear.

Sony has also introduced a clever feature with the built-in microphone on the right speaker. Using AI noise rejection, the mic filters out unwanted background sounds, allowing players to enjoy clear, headset-free voice chat. This makes it easy to join online matches or talk with friends without wearing headphones.

Connectivity is another strong point. Thanks to PlayStation Link, the Pulse Elevate provides ultra-low latency and lossless sound, ensuring what you hear matches what happens on screen in real time. The speakers also support Bluetooth, so players can connect to two devices at once – for example, hearing game audio through PlayStation Link while listening to music or chatting on a phone via Bluetooth.
