Honor Magic 7 Pro has introduced the Android 16 Beta 3 MagicOS developer preview, currently available for the HONOR Magic 7 Pro. This build is specifically intended for developers to explore upcoming features and begin adapting their apps for the new system.
The beta version is not recommended for everyday users, as it is still under development and may present stability issues.
While the update does not erase existing user data, HONOR advises users to back up their information before proceeding. The new beta runs on a separate user partition from the original operating system, meaning data from the previous system will not be accessible after the upgrade.
According to HONOR, known issues at this stage include occasional device restarts under certain conditions.
Android 16 has now reached its final phase of testing. Google has already released Android 16 Beta 4, marking the final beta version before the official release. The stable update is expected to be publicly available in June 2025, offering users the complete Android 16 experience.
