GL iNet reveals exciting and powerful new travel routers at CES 2026

GL iNet, a well-known name for OpenWrt-based networking products, has officially revealed its next generation of travel and remote access devices at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. The new lineup focuses on faster speeds, better security, and simple control, with most products set to launch in Spring 2026.

According to Mason Zhao, CEO of GL iNet, the company aims to solve real user problems by improving daily internet use. He shared that their long-term goal is to build a connected product ecosystem that makes life easier for everyone.

The new lineup includes travel routers, security gateways, and remote KVM devices, all designed for people who need stable and secure internet wherever they go.

The Mudi 7 (GL E5800) is a premium 5G travel router built for users who need fast internet on the move. It supports 5G speeds of up to 4.67 Gbps and comes with tri band Wi Fi 7. For wired use, it offers a 2.5G Ethernet port and a 10G USB C tethering port, along with dual SIM support for better network flexibility.

A 2.8 inch touchscreen allows users to switch SIM cards, turn VPN on or off, and manage settings easily. For security, it delivers strong VPN speeds, making it safe for public networks. Its large 5380mAh battery provides up to 13.5 hours of use, making it a reliable choice for travel. The Mudi 7 will launch in Spring 2026.

The Beryl 7 (GL MT3600BE) is a compact travel router designed for speed and portability. It supports dual band Wi Fi 7 and offers some of the fastest VPN speeds ever seen in a GL iNet travel router. With two 2.5G Ethernet ports, it is suitable for both wired and wireless use.

It uses USB C for power, meaning users can charge it with a standard phone charger. Despite its small size, it can connect more than 120 devices at the same time. The Beryl 7 is also expected to arrive in Spring 2026.

The Comet 5G (GL RM10RC) brings a new idea to remote system control. It is the world’s first remote KVM device using 5G RedCap technology. With Wi Fi 6 and Ethernet support, it ensures stable remote access even in difficult network conditions.

One of its key features is Nearby Control, which allows users to access nearby systems through its own hotspot, even without an existing network. This is useful for BIOS access and system setup. It includes a 3.69 inch touchscreen, 4K HDMI passthrough, two way audio, and 64 GB internal storage for storing multiple operating systems. The Comet 5G will launch in Spring 2026.

The Brume 3 (GL MT5000) is a wired security gateway aimed at home users and small businesses. It includes three 2.5G ports that can be used flexibly for WAN or LAN, ensuring fast wired performance.

It offers high speed VPN support, making it suitable for heavy tasks like HD streaming and large file transfers. The device also includes VPN traffic masking, which helps bypass restricted networks and adds extra privacy while browsing. Brume 3 is scheduled for release in Spring 2026.

The Comet Pro (GL RM10) is already available and focuses on wireless remote system management. It works over Wi Fi 6 and removes the need for physical network cables. A 2.22 inch touchscreen makes setup simple, even for new users.
