REPLACED demo is finally here and fans can try it today
The demo for REPLACED is now available on Steam, giving players their first chance to experience the long-awaited cyberpunk adventure. The developers at Sad Cat Studios and publisher Thunderful Publishing shared their excitement as the game finally reaches players after a long wait.
In the demo, players step into the role of R.E.A.C.H., an artificial intelligence trapped inside a human body. The story is set in an alternate version of 1980s America, where a nuclear disaster has changed everything. Phoenix City is now a dangerous place ruled by a powerful corporation, filled with crime, corruption, and broken lives.

As R.E.A.C.H., players explore dark streets, ruined buildings, and industrial areas while fighting enemies and uncovering secrets. The game mixes fast action with simple exploration, letting players run, climb, and battle smoothly through the city. The demo also gives a small look at the game’s deeper theme, which focuses on identity, control, and what it really means to be human.

REPLACED uses a cinematic 2.5D style, combining pixel art with modern lighting to create a strong cyberpunk feel. Neon lights, rain-soaked streets, and moody environments help bring Phoenix City to life in a way that feels both old-school and fresh.
