Apple launches exciting new MacBook Neo laptop starting at $599

Apple has introduced the new MacBook Neo, an affordable laptop designed to bring the Mac experience to more users around the world. The new device starts at $599, while students can buy it for $499, making it the most budget-friendly Mac laptop so far.

The MacBook Neo features a fresh design, strong performance, and long battery life. It is made for everyday work such as browsing the internet, watching videos, editing photos, and using apps for study or creative tasks.

Modern design with colourful options

The new MacBook Neo comes with a durable aluminium body. The laptop looks simple and clean, with soft rounded edges that make it comfortable to hold and carry. It weighs only 2.7 pounds, so it is easy to place in a backpack or handbag.

Apple is also offering the laptop in four colours: blush, indigo, silver, and citrus. The keyboard and wallpapers match the colours, giving the device a bright and stylish look.

Bright Liquid Retina display

The laptop includes a 13-inch Liquid Retina display with a resolution of 2408 × 1506 and brightness of 500 nits. The screen supports 1 billion colours, which helps photos, videos, and websites look sharp and vibrant.

The display also has an anti-reflective coating. This makes it easier to view the screen in different lighting conditions, whether at home, in class, or in a café.

A18 Pro chip delivers strong performance

Inside the MacBook Neo is the A18 Pro chip, which allows the laptop to handle daily tasks smoothly. Users can open multiple apps, browse the web, watch videos, or work on documents without slowdowns.

According to Apple, the new laptop can be up to 50 percent faster for everyday tasks compared with popular PCs using Intel Core Ultra 5 processors. For AI-related tasks, such as photo effects and smart tools, it can be up to three times faster.

The chip also includes a 5-core GPU for graphics and a 16-core Neural Engine that supports AI features across macOS apps. Another important detail is that the laptop has no fan, so it runs silently.

Long battery life for daily use

Battery life is another strong point of the MacBook Neo. Thanks to the efficiency of Apple silicon, the laptop can deliver up to 16 hours of battery life on a single charge.

This makes it suitable for students, office work, travel, and everyday use without worrying about charging during the day.

Camera, speakers, and keyboard

The laptop includes a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, which helps improve video calls. Dual microphones are designed to reduce background noise so voices sound clearer during meetings or classes.

For audio, the MacBook Neo uses dual side-firing speakers that support Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos. This creates a richer sound experience for music, movies, and games.

Users also get Apple’s Magic Keyboard, known for comfortable typing, along with a large Multi-Touch trackpad for smooth gestures and control. Some models also include Touch ID for quick and secure login.

The laptop runs on macOS Tahoe, which comes with built-in apps like Safari, Messages, Pages, and Photos. It also includes Apple Intelligence features such as writing tools and live translation.

For users who already own an iPhone, features like Handoff, Universal Clipboard, and iPhone Mirroring make it easy to move work between devices.

MacBook Neo Price and availability

The new MacBook Neo starts at $599, while the education price begins at $499. Pre-orders are open now, and the laptop will start reaching customers on March 11.

With its colourful design, solid performance, and lower price, the MacBook Neo aims to make the Mac experience easier for many new users to access.
