GMKtec launches new EVO-T2 AI mini PC with strong 180 TOPS power
GMKtec has introduced its new EVO-T2 Desktop AI Supercomputer Series during the launch event for Intel’s third-generation Core Ultra processors in Shanghai. The new system is designed to deliver strong AI performance in a compact desktop mini PC.
The EVO-T2 AI is powered by Intel Core Ultra X9 388H and Core Ultra X7 358H processors. These chips are based on Intel’s upcoming Panther Lake architecture and allow the system to reach up to 180 TOPS of AI computing power. This makes the EVO-T2 one of the most powerful AI-focused mini PCs currently announced.
The processors are built using Intel’s latest 18A manufacturing process. This technology uses RibbonFET gate-all-around transistors and PowerVia backside power delivery, which are important steps in Intel’s future chip design plans.
The system uses a combination of CPU, GPU, and NPU acceleration. This design helps the EVO-T2 run demanding AI tasks locally on the machine. According to the company, the device can run large language models with up to 70 billion parameters directly on the PC without needing cloud processing.
GMKtec also worked with Phison to add aiDAPTIV+ AI SSD technology to the system. This feature can extend memory capacity and help reduce performance slowdowns when large AI models are being processed.
Graphics are handled by the integrated Intel Arc B390 GPU. It includes 12 Xe cores and supports DirectX 12 Ultimate, real-time ray tracing, and Intel XeSS 3 AI upscaling for improved visual performance.
Even though the device is small, it still offers strong connectivity and storage options. The EVO-T2 AI includes two M.2 SSD slots with PCIe 5.0 and PCIe 4.0 support, allowing up to 16 TB of storage. It also provides USB4 with 40 Gbps bandwidth and 100 W power delivery, OCuLink support for connecting an external GPU, and dual network ports with 10GbE and 2.5GbE speeds.
The mini PC also comes with the pre-configured GMKtec Claw AI environment. This allows users to start running AI applications quickly after setting up the system.
