Acemagic surprises fans with powerful Retro X5 mini PC for modern and classic gaming

Acemagic has officially revealed its new Retro X5 mini PC, and it is already getting attention for its unique mix of old and new. The system comes in a retro NES-style design but hides very powerful modern hardware inside a small body. It is made for users who enjoy classic games, media use, and daily computer work without needing a large PC.

At the heart of the Retro X5 is the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor. This chip has 12 cores and 24 threads, which helps it handle heavy tasks smoothly. It can boost up to 5.1 GHz, making the system fast for multitasking, light creative work, and gaming. For graphics, the mini PC uses the integrated Radeon 890M GPU. It has 16 compute units and can reach speeds of up to 2.9 GHz, which should be enough for retro games, older PC titles, and casual modern games.

One of the key highlights is the built-in AMD XDNA 2 NPU. This AI unit can deliver up to 50 TOPS of AI performance. While most users may not use AI features right away, this makes the Retro X5 more future-ready for upcoming software that uses AI for smart tasks and system features.

For gaming fans, Acemagic includes its RetroPlay Box software. This software comes with built-in emulators and simple game tools, which makes setting up retro games much easier. Users do not need to spend hours adjusting settings. Acemagic has also shared plans to add AI-based features later, such as smarter game suggestions, though no launch date has been confirmed yet.

The Retro X5 supports expandable memory and storage, giving users flexibility to upgrade later. It can also run multiple displays, which is useful for work and media setups.
