AMD confirms Threadripper PRO 9000 prices with big boost
AMD has officially shared the pricing for its Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 WX-Series workstation CPUs. These processors were introduced last month, but pricing was not revealed until now.
Threadripper PRO 9000 WX-Series prices
The new Threadripper PRO 9000 chips are made for professionals. They offer between 16 and 96 cores, ideal for heavy tasks like 3D work and editing. Here are the official US prices:

- 9955WX (16 cores) – $1,649
- 9965WX (24 cores) – $2,899
- 9975WX (32 cores) – $4,099
- 9985WX (64 cores) – $7,999
- 9995WX (96 cores) – $11,699
AMD has not yet shared the price for the 12-core 9945WX.
These processors have a 350W TDP and are not designed for everyday PC users. However, the cost per core becomes lower with the higher-end models.

Alongside pricing, AMD also published fresh performance numbers. The company compared its top-end 9995WX with Intel’s Xeon W9-3595X chip. AMD claims the 9995WX can be 40% to 145% faster in different tests.
It’s important to note, though, that Intel’s W9-3595X has 60 cores and a price of $5,889. Many would say it makes more sense to compare it with the 9985WX, as both have closer core counts and similar pricing.
For workstation users who need extreme multi-core power, AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 WX-Series now comes with clear pricing and performance advantages.
