ASUS introduces B850M AYW Gaming WiFi motherboard for AMD systems
ASUS has launched a new motherboard called the B850M AYW Gaming WiFi. It is designed for people who want to build a strong AMD Ryzen desktop PC in a small case. The motherboard is now available around the world.
This new board uses the microATX size, measuring 24.4 cm by 22.1 cm. It has a black PCB with six layers and silver-white heatsinks, giving it a clean and modern look that matches the ASUS AYW series design. It uses an 8+2+1 power phase setup with discrete MOSFETs to keep the system stable, and it has one 8-pin EPS connector to power the CPU.
Even though the board is compact, it offers fast and flexible storage options. It comes with one PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot, which supports speeds up to 128 Gbps, and another PCIe 4.0 M.2 slot that supports up to 64 Gbps. For adding graphics cards or other devices, it has one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot that runs at full speed and one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot that runs at x8 or x4 speed depending on the setup.
Asus B850M AYW Gaming WiFi Memory Support
The motherboard supports DDR5 memory with two DIMM slots in a dual-channel layout. It also supports ASUS AEMP overclocking technology, with speeds reaching over 8400 MT/s. For internet and network use, the board comes with built-in Wi-Fi 6 and 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, giving users fast and reliable connections whether they use wired or wireless internet.
At the back, the board has a pre-installed I/O shield, which makes it easier to install. It includes one HDMI 2.1 port for display, several USB ports at different speeds (10 Gbps, 5 Gbps, and 480 Mbps), one 2.5 GbE RJ45 port for Ethernet, two Wi-Fi antenna connections, and three audio jacks. The sound system is handled by a Realtek 7.1 channel audio codec, which delivers clear audio for gaming or media.
For people who like custom lighting, the board includes three Addressable RGB Gen 2 headers. These allow users to connect and control RGB lighting effects across their build.
