Battlefield 6 breaks records with 7 million sales, marking a stunning success for the franchise

Battlefield 6 has stormed onto the scene, becoming the biggest and most successful launch in the history of the series. Electronic Arts (EA) and Battlefield Studios confirmed that the latest entry sold over 7 million copies within just three days of release, setting new records for the franchise.

The launch followed a record-breaking Open Beta held in August, where millions of players joined to test the game. The full release built on that momentum, achieving the highest sales numbers ever for a Battlefield title. During the first three days, players took part in over 172 million matches and watched more than 15 million hours of gameplay on streaming platforms, making Battlefield 6 one of the biggest entertainment launches of the year.

Byron Beede, General Manager of Battlefield, expressed gratitude to the fans, saying, “Battlefield 6 was built with our players in mind. From the first concept to the record-breaking Beta, their feedback helped shape the best Battlefield yet.” He also mentioned that this is only the start, with the first content season arriving soon.

Vince Zampella, Executive Vice President at EA, also thanked both the development teams and the community for their support, calling the launch a “momentous milestone” for the franchise.

Battlefield 6 takes the action to a whole new level with large-scale multiplayer battles, a thrilling single-player campaign, and returning fan-favourite features like Portal, which lets players create and share custom modes. The game’s upgraded mechanics, improved visuals, and deep gameplay options have made it one of the most talked-about releases this year.

Season 1, titled Rogue Ops, will begin on October 28. It will introduce a new map named Blackwell Fields and a new 4v4 mode designed for fast-paced combat. EA has promised that new seasonal content will continue to roll out regularly throughout the year, keeping the experience fresh and engaging.

Battlefield 6 is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC through Steam, the EA App, and the Epic Games Store.
