The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt turns 10, and CD Projekt Red has partnered with Xbox to release two beautifully crafted Witcher Xbox controllers. These special edition controllers are packed with design elements inspired by Geralt’s journey and are now available through the Microsoft Store.

These Witcher Xbox controllers are more than just accessories—they’re a tribute to one of the most loved RPGs in gaming history.
A design inspired by Geralt’s journey
The controllers are designed with great attention to detail. At the centre is the wolf medallion, a key symbol in the Witcher series. It sits just below the Xbox button with glowing red eyes, creating a bold and powerful look.
One standout feature of the Witcher Xbox controller is the use of Glagolitic script, an old Slavic alphabet seen in the game. The text isn’t random—it carries a hidden message for dedicated fans. The famous red claw mark, seen in The Witcher 3 logo, is also part of the design, while the triggers use two colours to match Geralt’s two swords: silver for monsters and steel for humans.
Crafted to feel battle-worn and legendary
According to Joshua Flowers, Design Team Lead at CD Projekt Red, the goal was to make the controller feel like it belongs in The Witcher world:
“We wanted it to feel like something that has been with you on the path, something worn and personal… like it had lived through battles and carried stories of its own.”
The finish on the Witcher Xbox controller looks aged, worn down, and rich with lore—perfectly fitting the dark and immersive world of The Witcher 3.
Built for monster hunting
The Xbox Wireless Controller model includes rubberised back grips, Bluetooth support, and remappable buttons via the Xbox Accessories app. It works with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, iOS, and Android devices.
For gamers wanting more control, the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 – Core includes shorter hair trigger locks, adjustable thumbsticks, and a rechargeable battery—ideal for long monster-slaying sessions.
