The second is Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a modern retelling of Lara’s very first adventure. Catalyst is being made by Crystal Dynamics, and it takes Lara to Northern India after a strange and powerful event shakes the land. This event unlocks old secrets and wakes up ancient forces that are now spreading across the region. Many treasure hunters from around the world rush to this place, each looking for power and glory. Lara must move fast, explore the broken land, uncover the truth behind the cataclysm, and stop those who want to use its power for dangerous plans. The story focuses on trust, betrayal, and tough choices as the ancient world begins to clash with the present.
The game is powered by Unreal Engine 5, allowing for the biggest and most detailed Tomb Raider world ever made. Players will travel through huge areas full of secrets, explore old tombs with clever puzzles, and use Lara’s upgraded adventure tools to solve mysteries. Tomb Raider: Catalyst is set to release in 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis
The second reveal, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, brings back the classic story that started it all. This time, it is rebuilt with modern controls, new visuals, and updated level designs. The game is being created together by Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog, and it aims to honour the original adventure while making it feel fresh for players today. Lara will travel across forgotten lands, jump across dangerous areas, solve ancient traps, and face deadly creatures while searching for pieces of the Scion, a powerful artifact linked to Atlantis. The game is planned for 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.
Both new titles will feature Alix Wilton Regan as the voice of Lara Croft. She is known for her roles in major games like Dragon Age: Inquisition, Cyberpunk 2077, and Mass Effect 3. Her strong and expressive performance is expected to bring a new level of depth to the character.
