Huawei Mate 70 Pro Premium Edition Sees Price Drop with Added Subsidy Benefits
The Huawei Mate 70 Pro Premium Edition has recently received a price reduction, dropping from its official launch price of $854.99 to $824.99, a discount of $30. Additionally, the phone qualifies for a national mobile phone subsidy of $69.99, bringing the effective cost down to just $754.99. This total savings amounts to $100 compared to the original price.
Unlike limited-time offers, there’s no urgency to rush into buying, as the device is readily available for purchase.
This model is the first to feature the Kirin 9020A chip, a slightly underclocked variant of the Kirin 9020. The 9020A runs on a configuration of 1 core at 2.40GHz, 3 cores at 2.00GHz, and 4 cores at 1.60GHz, compared to the 9020’s 1 core at 2.50GHz, 3 cores at 2.15GHz, and 4 cores at 1.60GHz.
Huawei claims that the Huawei Mate 70 Pro offers a 40% performance improvement over the Mate 60 Pro, while the Premium Edition sees a 35% boost. However, the performance difference between the two variants is minimal in day-to-day usage and unlikely to impact the overall user experience.
In terms of design and features, the Premium Edition mirrors the standard Huawei Mate 70 Pro. It boasts a 6.9-inch OLED display with a 1–120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate and is protected by second-generation Kunlun glass, offering 20 times better drop resistance.
For photography, the device features a powerful rear camera setup: a 50MP main super-focus camera, a 40MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 48MP macro telephoto lens, and a 1.5MP multispectral red maple primary color sensor.
