MSI unleashes powerful GeForce RTX 5050 Shadow 2X OC with advanced dual-fan cooling and factory overclock
MSI has officially launched its first custom model of the GeForce RTX 5050—the Shadow 2X OC. This version comes with a factory overclock, upgraded cooling, and a clean, compact design aimed at gamers looking for solid performance in a small build.
At 19.6 cm long and 12 cm tall, the card fits neatly into most setups and takes up just two slots. It’s powered by NVIDIA’s latest Blackwell GB207 chip built on the 5 nm process, featuring 2,560 CUDA cores, 80 Tensor cores, and 20 RT cores. Memory-wise, it offers 8 GB of GDDR6 running at 20 Gbps on a 128-bit interface, giving a total bandwidth of 320 GB/s.

The MSI Geforce RTX 5050 Shadow 2X OC runs slightly faster than the base model, with a boost clock of 2602 MHz, up from the standard 2570 MHz. Cooling is handled by a premium aluminium heatsink and a single S-shaped heat pipe, topped with MSI’s TorX 5.0 fans. These fans are known for their webbed design, which improves airflow and helps keep things cool during gaming sessions.
