Samsung Odyssey G7 G75F brings big screen joy for gamers

Samsung has quietly launched a brand-new gaming monitor, the Odyssey G7 G75F, which has now appeared on its official Malaysian website. This monitor is special because it is Samsung’s first 37-inch curved display with 4K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, offering a bigger and smoother view for serious gamers.

The 37-inch screen uses a Rapid VA panel and features a strong 1000R curve. This curve wraps around your vision, making the screen feel closer and more natural. With its extra size, users get about 34% more screen area than a regular 32-inch monitor, making it perfect for open-world games or multitasking setups.

The Odyssey G7 G75F delivers a crisp 4K resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels and runs at a fast 165Hz. This means games and videos will look very sharp and flow smoothly. It can reach up to 350 nits brightness in normal use, and up to 600 nits in HDR mode, thanks to its DisplayHDR 600 certification.

Samsung also included a 1ms response time to reduce delay, plus a strong contrast ratio of 3,000:1 for deeper blacks and brighter whites. The screen shows vibrant colours too, with 90% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space and 99% of sRGB, which is great for both gaming and creative work. Wide viewing angles of 178 degrees mean the picture looks good from almost any side. For smoother performance, it supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro to cut down on screen stutter.

Along with the great visuals, Samsung packed in some helpful features. Eye Saver Mode and Flicker Free tech reduce strain during long play sessions. You also get Black Equalizer for better visibility in dark areas, a crosshair overlay for better aiming, and Auto Source Switch+ which automatically changes to the active device when you turn it on.

The back of the monitor includes 2 HDMI 2.1 ports, 1 DisplayPort 1.4, two USB 3.2 ports, and a headphone jack. It has a fully adjustable stand for height, tilt, and swivel movements. However, there’s no mention of a KVM switch, which some users may have expected in this price range.

Samsung Odyssey G7 G75F price and availability

The price of Odyssey G7 G75F in Malaysia is RM4,399, around $1,030. While that may sound expensive, Samsung is clearly aiming at gamers who want a high-end setup with a large, high-quality screen.
