Samsung has officially launched the Odyssey OLED G6, the world’s first OLED gaming monitor with a 500 Hz refresh rate. The 27-inch display is initially being released in Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia, with a global rollout planned for later this year. This marks another bold step from the tech giant, building on its six-year global leadership in the gaming monitor market and two years at the forefront of OLED gaming displays.
The Odyssey OLED G6 (model G60SF) delivers a 500 Hz refresh rate, making it the fastest OLED gaming monitor currently available. Paired with an ultra-fast 0.03ms response time (GTG), the monitor ensures gamers experience ultra-smooth visuals with near-instant reaction times — a key advantage for competitive play. It comes with a QHD resolution (2,560 x 1,440), powered by Samsung’s QD-OLED technology, offering not only speed but also brilliant image clarity. The monitor is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified, meaning it can deliver deep blacks and vibrant colours, enhancing game environments with better contrast and more detail.
To reduce screen tearing and stuttering, the Odyssey OLED G6 supports both NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. These features ensure consistent frame delivery and smooth transitions, especially in fast-paced gaming scenarios like FPS and racing games.
