Wooting 60HE v2 looks stunning with new design and great value
Wooting has officially shared new details about its upcoming Wooting 60HE v2 gaming keyboard, including its price and release schedule. The company had earlier confirmed that pre-orders would begin on November 6, but now we finally know how much it will cost and when it will start shipping.
The aluminium version of the Wooting 60HE v2 is expected to start shipping in December 2025, while the ABS plastic version will arrive later in April 2026. The keyboard will be offered as a full pre-built model or as a standalone PCB module for users who prefer to use their own switches, case, and keycaps.
One thing many fans will appreciate is that there’s no extra cost for choosing between the split space or standard spacebar layouts. The plastic model will also feature a new aluminium reinforcement plate at the bottom, which should make it stronger and help reduce unwanted noise.
Wooting also announced a new add-on for the plastic case. Instead of the original strap mount, users will get a translucent silicone wing that gives the keyboard a cleaner and more modern look. Both versions will come in black, but the aluminium version will also be available in a special “Shiny Silver” colour option.
The new keyboard will come with Lekker Tikken switches and OEM profile shine-through PBT keycaps by default. It also features a white FR4 plate, replacing the old steel one from the original 60HE, which should offer a softer and cleaner typing sound. The internal design now uses a friction-fit gasket mount, separating the plate and case to cut down on vibrations and improve the overall typing feel.

Compared to the Wooting 60HE+, which starts at $174.99, the new version is only slightly more expensive while offering better materials and design upgrades. In fact, the aluminium version is still cheaper than many third-party cases, making it a great deal for anyone planning to upgrade.
