Project TAL brings stunning action and Korean folklore to life

Project TAL has finally been revealed, and it looks absolutely breathtaking. Announced by WEMADE MAX Co. Ltd and developed by MADNGINE, this brand-new open-world action RPG is set to arrive on PC and consoles in 2027.

The game takes inspiration from Korea’s traditional Tal masks and ancient myths, turning them into a deep fantasy world filled with mystery and emotion. The official announcement trailer shows off exciting combat scenes, where players can climb huge monsters, attack their weak spots, and pull off smooth skill combos that look both fast and powerful.

Project TAL 3 1

One of the most exciting parts of Project TAL is its companion system. Players will not have to fight alone, as they will be joined by NPC companions who can react to the player’s combat style and surroundings. Each companion has a unique role some defend, some heal, and others attack using melee, ranged, or magic abilities. There are also emotional and cinematic moments where teamwork shines, like catching a falling companion or watching one cast a shield to block an incoming strike.

Project TAL 2

According to Sohn Myun-seok, CEO of WEMADE MAX, Project TAL aims to blend an emotional story about healing a broken world with fast and exciting action gameplay. He added that the game is being developed as a true AAA experience to compete globally.

Project TAL

Key features of Project TAL include climbing action on giant creatures, a system for targeting weak spots to turn the tide of battle, and fluid team-based combat with intelligent companions that adapt during fights.

Project TAL is currently in development for both PC and consoles, with a worldwide release expected in 2027.
