Razer unveils ultra-portable gaming mouse and keyboard with Synapse for Mac support
Razer Basilisk Mobile and Razer Joro bring premium performance to gamers on the move
Razer has announced two new compact gaming devices—the Razer Basilisk Mobile mouse and the Razer Joro keyboard—aimed at delivering a high-quality gaming experience for users who game on the go. Both devices are lightweight, travel-friendly, and packed with features usually seen in full-sized gaming gear. Alongside this launch, Razer has also introduced the preview version of Synapse for Mac, bringing its powerful customisation software to Apple devices for the first time.
Razer Basilisk Mobile: Compact yet powerful

The Basilisk Mobile is a wireless ergonomic gaming mouse that weighs just 76 grams, making it easy to carry in a laptop sleeve or even a jacket pocket. Despite its small size, it maintains the premium design and comfort of the classic Basilisk series. It supports tri-mode connectivity, including HyperSpeed Wireless for ultra-low latency, Bluetooth, and wired use.
Gamers can expect up to 105 hours of battery life, making it ideal for long trips. The mouse features 10 programmable controls, enabling players to customise their gameplay setup. A new AI Prompt Master tool lets users create smart shortcuts and strategies via Synapse 4, helping boost in-game efficiency.
Inside, the mouse uses the Razer Focus X 18K Optical Sensor, promising 99.4% resolution accuracy, along with Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3, rated for 90 million clicks. The HyperScroll tilt wheel allows for both smooth scrolling and tactile feedback, which is helpful for both gaming and regular tasks.

Razer Joro: A slim keyboard built for travel

At just 374 grams and 16.5 mm thin, the Razer Joro is the company’s most portable gaming keyboard yet. It features a compact layout with a full function row and full-sized arrow keys, making it practical for both gaming and typing. The keyboard’s ultra low-profile design promotes a natural hand position to reduce strain, especially during long sessions.
Gamers who play fast-paced titles like FPS games can take advantage of the Snap Tap feature, which improves quick direction changes by enabling faster key input transitions. Users can remap keys, set up macros, and activate Hypershift through Synapse 4 for full control.
The keyboard supports up to three devices via Bluetooth 5.0, allowing easy switching between PCs, tablets, and smartphones. It also includes a Microsoft Copilot Key for quick access to AI tools on Windows, and Mac legends on secondary keycaps for Apple users.
Battery life is another highlight, with up to 1,800 hours of usage on a single charge. It also features Chroma RGB lighting with a single-zone backlight and support for 16.8 million colours.

Synapse for Mac preview now available
In a major update to its software ecosystem, Razer has launched the preview version of Synapse for Mac. This update brings the familiar customisation tools of Synapse to macOS for the first time, with support for 17 peripherals including the new Joro, Viper V3 Pro, and BlackWidow V4 Pro 75%.
With this release, Mac users can now access features like Snap Tap, macro creation, and RGB lighting configuration. Razer aims to deliver the same level of performance and customisation across both Windows and macOS, helping more gamers tailor their experience to their own preferences.
Razer is inviting Mac users to try the software and offer feedback to help improve future versions.

The launch of the Basilisk Mobile and Joro signals a strong push by Razer into the portable gaming gear market. With sleek designs, long battery life, and support for advanced features like AI tools and multi-platform compatibility, these devices are designed for gamers who want to take their setups anywhere without sacrificing performance.
