Ubiquiti UniFi UNAS series brings smart and powerful storage
Ubiquiti has launched its new Ubiquiti UniFi UNAS desktop NAS series, giving users a simple and reliable way to handle their storage needs. The lineup includes two models, the UniFi UNAS 2 and the UniFi UNAS 4, each built for different levels of performance and capacity.
The Ubiquiti UniFi UNAS 4 is the stronger model in the series. It has four drive bays, making it perfect for people who need more space and speed. Inside, it runs on a quad-core Arm Cortex-A55 processor at 1.7 GHz with 4 GB of memory. It supports both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch drives and also allows two M.2 NVMe SSDs for faster access. Hot-swap support lets users replace drives while the system is still running, and features like RAID and hot-spare help keep data safe. The compact case measures 246 x 129 x 224.5 mm, weighs 2.6 kg, and uses up to 90 W of power with PoE+++ delivery.

The Ubiquiti UniFi UNAS 2 is the smaller option, made for lighter setups. It has two 3.5-inch drive bays but does not support hot-swap or NVMe drives. Even so, it comes with the same processor and memory as the larger model, offering smooth use for basic storage. The body measures 135 x 129 x 223.7 mm and runs up to 60 W of power with PoE++ delivery.

Both Ubiquiti UniFi UNAS models feature a 1.47-inch colour display, Bluetooth 4.1, and a strong polycarbonate design. They can be fully managed through Ethernet and integrate easily into the UniFi ecosystem, making setup and control simple for all kinds of users.

Ubiquiti UniFi UNAS 2 & 4 pricing and availability
Ubiquiti UniFi UNAS 2 will start at $199, while the Ubiquiti UniFi UNAS 4 will cost $379. Both models are expected to launch in Q4 2025, offering smart, reliable, and affordable storage solutions for UniFi fans.
