YUNZII brings more fun with the new C98 MAO Cake Kitten wireless keyboard

YUNZII has officially introduced a new version of its popular C98 mechanical keyboard. Called the C98 MAO Cake Kitten Edition, the new model keeps the same 96% layout while adding a fresh cat-inspired design with unique MAO keycaps and transparent cat-ear details. The keyboard is made for users who want a fun-looking setup without giving up useful features for work or gaming.

The C98 MAO Cake Kitten uses a compact 96% layout with 98 keys, including a dedicated number pad. This gives users most of the keys found on a full-size keyboard while saving desk space. The package also includes matching accessories such as a themed mousepad, stickers, extra keycaps, a dust cover, and a keycap puller to complete the desktop look.

For connectivity, the keyboard supports Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4 GHz wireless, and USB-C wired mode. It can connect to up to five devices at the same time, making it easy to switch between a PC, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. It works with Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS devices.

The biggest highlight is the new MAO keycap set. The side-printed shine-through legends and transparent cat-ear accents allow the RGB lighting to glow from different angles. The keycaps are made from durable double-shot PBT with dye-sublimated designs to help keep the legends clear after long-term use.

The C98 MAO Cake Kitten also includes a hot-swappable PCB that supports both 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches. Users can replace switches without soldering, making it easy to customize the typing feel and sound.

To improve typing comfort, YUNZII has used a gasket-mounted design with multiple sound-dampening layers. Factory-lubed linear switches, tuned stabilizers, and silicone padding help deliver a smooth typing experience with a soft and creamy sound profile.

RGB lighting is fully customizable through YUNZII’s web-based software. Users can remap keys, create macros, adjust lighting effects, and save custom profiles on both Windows and Mac systems.

The C98 MAO Cake Kitten keyboard also includes several playful design touches, including cat paw accents, a fish-shaped slot for the wireless dongle, transparent cat-themed details, and 360-degree side lighting. These small features give the C98 MAO Cake Kitten Edition a unique personality while keeping all the features expected from a modern mechanical keyboard.
