Tronsmart KH03 review: Built for happy little ears
Tronsmart has been steadily building its kids headphone lineup with the KH series—starting with the KH01 wired headphones, then stepping up to KH02, and now introducing the most advanced of them all, the KH03 ANC wireless headphones. Finding the right headphones for kids can be tricky. They need to be safe, fun, and tough enough to handle daily use. The Tronsmart KH03 aims to check all the right boxes with active noise cancellation (ANC), volume safety controls, colourful lights, and a super long battery life. After spending time testing these headphones, here’s what we found.
Unboxing
The Tronsmart KH03 headphones come in a mostly white cardboard box. On the front side, there is a big picture of the headphones. Since our unit is in blue colour, the same blue version is shown on the box too. There are also some orange-coloured pages included inside. The Tronsmart branding and KH03 model name are printed on the top corners. Just below that, in bold blue fonts, it says ANC Wireless Kids Headphones, and there’s also a 3+ age mark clearly written.
The left and right sides of the box show a boy and a girl, both wearing the KH03 headphones, which adds a fun and child-friendly look. On the back side, you’ll find all the basic product information. Overall, the box gives a very cheerful and colourful vibe. It’s clearly made with kids in mind, but it also feels like something children will be excited to use and proud to wear.
Opening the box, we find the headphones placed safely in a plastic base. Along with that, Tronsmart includes some useful accessories: a Type-A to Type-C charging cable, an Aux-in cable, a warranty card, and a user manual. Everything is neatly packed and ready to use.

A closer look
The Tronsmart KH03 is made with good quality plastic in a dark blue colour. The earcups are light blue, and there’s a bright orange volume limit switch on the side, which adds a nice touch. It weighs just 244 grams and feels light—not heavy at all on a kid’s head. The size is 164.1 x 76.5 x 183.4 mm, which fits well for children.
The headband is adjustable with four stretch levels and also has soft cushioning on the inside, which makes it more comfortable on top of the head. The headphones are foldable too, making them easy to carry when going out.
The earcups are soft and covered with breathable protein leather. They feel smooth and comfy—great for long listening sessions. And yes, they also light up with colourful effects! There are two light modes that kids really enjoy, especially when they see themselves in the mirror.
On the right earcup, all the buttons are neatly placed. From front to back, there’s the orange volume limit button (with 3 safe sound levels: 74, 85, and 93dB), a switch for turning ANC on or off, an LED indicator, and a multifunctional button for power and music controls. You also get volume + and – buttons, a Type-C charging port, aux-in port, and the microphone. Everything is easy to press and use, even for small fingers.

Tronsmart KH03 Audio experience
For kids’ headphones, the audio is really impressive. The sound is loud, clear, and doesn’t hurt the ears—even at higher volume limits. The Tronsmart KH03 uses a gentle noise-cancelling mode that helps cut out background noise like cars or chatter, which is perfect for reading, learning, or just enjoying music. You can turn ANC off when you want to hear outside sounds, like announcements on a bus.
My son loves the lights and how fun they make the headphones feel. The sound quality makes videos and games more exciting, and I noticed he could focus better while using them. The mic also works well for online classes and video calls—clear and without delay.
Connectivity and battery life
Connecting the Tronsmart KH03 headphones to any device is super easy. Thanks to Bluetooth 5.3, it pairs fast and stays connected all day without dropping. I connected it to my phone, my son’s tablet, and even my laptop—worked great with all of them.
Battery life is also excellent. You get up to 70 hours of playtime with ANC turned on, which is more than enough for days of use without charging. And if the battery ever runs out, you can just plug in the aux cable and keep using them.
