The Precinct, an exciting neon-noir cop sandbox game, launches on PC and consoles
Kwalee and Fallen Tree Games have officially released The Precinct, a neon-noir action sandbox game now available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox. Priced at $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99, the game places players in the role of a rookie officer trying to clean up a crime-ridden city soaked in 1980s atmosphere.
Welcome to Averno City
Set in a fictional American city during the 1980s, The Precinct introduces players to the gritty world of Officer Nick Cordell Jr., a fresh police academy graduate who’s just started his beat on the chaotic streets of Averno. Inspired by classic cop films, the game blends open-world freedom with high-octane police action. From simple parking violations to major heists and gang wars, players will need to adapt quickly to bring order back to a city collapsing under the weight of crime and corruption.
With a blend of in-engine cinematics and gameplay footage, the newly released launch trailer shows off everything from high-speed car chases and shootouts to foot pursuits through neon-lit alleys. The game’s mechanics encourage different approaches to law enforcement, whether through careful investigation or aggressive pursuit tactics.

Averno City is designed to feel alive, featuring a full day/night cycle and dynamic weather that affects gameplay and atmosphere. Players can patrol on foot, in squad cars, or even take to the skies in helicopters.
