Death Stranding 2 PC system requirements and graphics features revealed
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is finally heading to PC, and the early details look very promising. After almost nine months as a PS5-only release, the game will launch on PC on March 19. Along with the release date, Kojima Productions and Nixxes have shared full PC system requirements and a long list of graphics upgrades through a PlayStation Blog post.
For players with entry-level systems, the minimum setup targets 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second using low settings. To reach this level, you will need a Ryzen 3 3100 or Core i3-10100 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and either a GeForce GTX 1660 or Radeon RX 5500 XT with 8 GB of video memory. This setup is aimed at players who just want the game to run smoothly without pushing visuals too hard.

If you want a better balance between visuals and performance, the medium preset is designed for 1080p with medium settings. This tier needs more power, including a Ryzen 5 5600 or Core i5-11400, paired with an RTX 3060 12 GB or Radeon RX 6600. This option should feel much smoother and sharper than the minimum setup.
The recommended, or high, settings push the game to 1440p at 60 frames per second. For this level, players will need a stronger CPU like the Ryzen 7 5700X or Core i7-11700, along with an RTX 3070 or Radeon RX 6800. This tier is clearly aimed at players who want smooth gameplay with rich detail.

For those aiming for the best possible image quality, the very high preset targets 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. This requires a top-end graphics card such as the RTX 4080 or Radeon RX 9070 XT. The CPU and RAM requirements remain the same as the high tier. Across all settings, the game needs 16 GB of memory, Windows 10 version 1909 or newer, and a fast SSD with at least 150 GB of free space.
On the graphics side, the PC version brings several strong upgrades. Ultrawide monitors are fully supported, including 21:9 and 32:9 ratios. Players on standard 16:9 screens can also choose a cinematic 21:9 mode with black bars, an option that will also come to the PS5 version at the same time.

Upscaling support is another big highlight. The game will work with NVIDIA DLSS 4, AMD FSR 4, and Intel XeSS 2, all offering both upscaling and frame generation. These tools can be used together with dynamic resolution scaling, letting players fine-tune image quality and performance. PC players will also get Pico, a new image system developed by Guerrilla Games for the Decima engine. Pico works across all major graphics cards and can be used alongside other upscaling options. For players who prefer a more traditional approach, native anti-aliasing options are also included.
Death Stranding 2 PC release
Overall, the PC release of Death Stranding 2 looks carefully planned, with clear hardware targets and a wide range of graphics choices. Whether you are playing on modest hardware or a high-end PC, the game aims to deliver a smooth and flexible experience.
