Closer Look
One of the first things I noticed was the headband. The red threads make it stand out, and the OneOdio text is welcome as it’s not overly in your face.

There is plenty of padding on the headband as well. This will allow you to enjoy using the Max 1 headphones for longer periods, trying to push the limits of the 120-hour battery life when using in Bluetooth mode. I wore these for a 4-hour streaming session on TikTok and had no issues with comfort, even if the headphone dent in my hair was quite severe according to my children.

The headband is adjustable to fit most users’ heads. The earcups fold in and also rotate up to 180°, not only allowing for better comfort,t but this helps to pack them away and also allows DJs to use them for single-ear monitoring.

The earcups are designed from protein leather, which is meant to be breathable for longer sessions. There is also plenty of padding to help aid in the comfort department. The earcups do fit quite snug around my ears, which at first feels a bit awkward, but after a couple of minutes, I could no longer notice it. I wouldn’t say I have overly large ears, but I guess they’re not small either, so this is just something to keep in mind. However, like I said, stick it ou,t and they do offer hours of comfort no matter the task at hand.

Connectivity and Battery
The Studio Max 1 boasts four different connectivity modes, offering something for everyone, not just DJs. The Bluetooth 5.3 mode gives a lengthy 10M range for those looking to use the headphones with their phone or mobile device. The Low Latency Mode (20ms) is designed to be ready for pro equipment, and those looking to use it with instruments or DJ controllers will be happy to know there are both 3.5mm and 6.3mm wired options available, straight out of the box.
When it comes to the battery, I was very impressed. While I did not have the time to test the 120H over Bluetooth, I did use them wirelessly with the M1 transmitter for around 30 hours or so over a week without issue. While I am not a DJ, I would be more than happy to charge these up once a week if I can get a week’s worth of streaming out of them. Also, should you run into an issue where the battery is almost dead, they do have a quick charge feature. Using this, you can gain either 5 hours using the headphones or 2.5 hours if using the transmitter after only charging them for 5 minutes!
Final Words
OneOdio has a very impressive set of headphones on its hands with the Studio Max 1, and not just for DJs and those into music. While I did use them for a bit of music on my phone during testing, my primary use was playing Warzone and streaming on TikTok. I must say I was rather impressed with everything they have to offer, from the comfort to the clarity and even the longevity of the battery; it all seemed to just work perfectly right out of the box.
Setting up the transmitter is almost instant and gives you hours of listening time without hassle. The wireless range, both using the transmitter and Bluetooth mode, was enough for me to walk almost anywhere in my house without any distortion. The included cables and adapters are sure to be a hit with those who can make use of them as well!
When you also consider the price of £159.99 on top of all the Max 1 headphones have to offer, you really can’t go wrong. These headphones are for those who need a little more from their headphones and aren’t just looking for generic Bluetooth headphones. As such, I am going to award them our MUST HAVE award. Many thanks again to OneOdio for sending these in for our non-biased review.
