Atari 2600+ Pac-Man Edition brings classic gaming back

Atari, Plaion, and Bandai Namco have announced the Atari 2600+ Pac-Man Edition, a fresh take on the classic console. It will launch worldwide on 31st October 2025, and pre-orders open on 23rd July through Amazon and Atari.com.

The console is designed in bright Pac-Man yellow with glowing character icons on the front. It celebrates the original release of Pac-Man on the Atari 2600, marking a key moment in gaming history.

Inside the box, fans will get:

  • A Pac-Man Double Feature cartridge, which includes two games — Pac-Man 2600 and a brand-new Pac-Man 7800.
  • A yellow wireless joystick matching the theme of the console.

Atari 2600+ Pac-Man Edition pricing

The Atari 2600+ Pac-Man Edition full bundle is priced at £129.99.

In addition to the console, Pac-Man themed wireless joysticks will be sold separately. These CX40+ Wireless Joysticks come in five fun colours:

  • Yellow (Pac-Man)
  • Red (Blinky)
  • Pink (Pinky)
  • Blue (Inky)
  • Orange (Clyde)

Each joystick will cost £29.99, and pre-orders start on the same day as the console.

There are also plans to release the Pac-Man Double Feature cartridge on its own later in 2025.
