MSI launches powerful XpertStation WS300 AI workstation for faster local AI work

MSI has introduced its new XpertStation WS300, a high-end deskside AI workstation built on NVIDIA DGX Station architecture. This new system is designed to help users handle heavy AI tasks like large language models, generative AI, and data science work right from their desk.

The XpertStation WS300 is powered by the NVIDIA GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Desktop Superchip. It supports up to 748 GB of combined memory, which allows the CPU and GPU to share data smoothly. This helps speed up training and fine-tuning of large AI models without delays.

One of the key highlights is its fast networking. The system comes with dual 400GbE connections using NVIDIA ConnectX-8 SuperNIC. This gives up to 800 Gb/s total bandwidth, making it easier to run distributed AI tasks and connect with other systems when needed.

Storage is also very fast. With support for PCIe Gen 5 and Gen 6 NVMe drives, users can load large datasets quickly and keep AI workloads running without interruption. The system also supports the full NVIDIA AI software stack, giving a complete setup for building and deploying AI models.

The WS300 is built to handle the full AI process. It can be used for training models, analysing large data, and running real-time AI tasks. It also works as a shared compute system, so teams can use it for group projects while keeping their data safe and local.

Another important feature is support for autonomous AI agents. With NVIDIA NemoClaw and OpenShell, developers can run very large models locally. The system can deliver up to 20 petaFLOPS of AI performance, making it possible to run always-on AI without depending on cloud services.

With this launch, MSI is bringing data centre-level AI power to a deskside machine. This gives companies and developers more control, faster results, and better flexibility for their AI work.
