The NZXT Function Elite MiniTKL Keyboard offers gamers unparalleled performance. The NZXT Magnetic Switches offer a linear feel with a 150-million-click lifetime and are tranquil when typing. They feature an adjustable actuation and, when combined with the keyboard’s 8K Polling Rate, the performance on offer is just superb. I have been using the keyboard daily for work, gaming, and streaming for a few weeks now, and it has rightfully earned its place on my desk for the time being!

The front of the box has a nice image of the keyboard, showing off some of the RGB effects it has to offer. You can also see a couple of the more important features alongside a pic of the magnetic switches on the right-hand side of the box.

Getting everything out of the box and there is the Function Elite MiniTKL keyboard, a switch/keycap puller USB-C to USB-A cable, and a few spare magnetic switches just in case.

On the USB cable, the USB-A side has a purple plastic insert. While this may seem irrelevant, I always like to see it as it will be a dead giveaway as to which cable is meant to be used with an NZXT product.

The Keycap/switch puller has a nice finger hole so you can make sure you get a firm pull when trying to remove the switches from the Function Elite keyboard. Just make sure to pull them straight up so you don’t accidentally damage anything.

The keyboard comes in both white and black and has a heavy-duty aluminium case, which offers a durable and sturdy feel.

The double-shot PBT keyboards offer a textured surface and feature fade-resistant legends, so you should never have to worry about the letters fading; they should look exactly as you first saw them for the life of the keyboard.

The bottom of the keyboard is quite interesting. There are multi-adjustable feet, but we can also see extra non-slip pads on the bottom. This is going to ensure that whether you are using the feet or not, the keyboard stays in place on your desk. I can’t recall seeing this on other keyboards so it is definitely inline with the “Elite” branding.

Not only are there four individual smaller non-slip pads in each corner, but there is a larger textured one on each side, which will also make sure that when you pick the keyboard up, it doesn’t slip out of your hands. This is a first for me in seeing this, but hopefully we will see more and more of this as it does really offer something a bit extra.

The feet have two levels to them, so you can get the best height for your individual needs.

NZXT has gone with magnetic switches that utilize hall effect sensors to offer the most in customization for a keyboard switch. They come with a 30 g start and 65 g end force. They feature an actuation range of 0.6 mm- 4.0 mm, they are linear and come backed by a 150-million click lifetime!

The switches also offer rapid trigger, snap overrides, and 2-in-1 actions, meaning you will be able to get the jump on your enemies when in-game with ease.

The RGB effects, while subtle, are bright enough to be noticed. Each switch has its own RGB LED on the top, which allows the keycap legends to light up and also offers some ambient lighting around the keys, which also looks amazing. The RGB LEDs won’t blind you, but are easily seen if in the brightest of rooms, so you get an amazing look no matter the environment.

The NZXT Function Elite MiniTKL keyboard is a gamer’s dream. It comes with Hall effect magnetic switches that offer a myriad of customization options. It comes in both black and white colors, both of which feature a robust aluminium casing and some amazing RGB effects to top it all off.

The performance it has to offer is second to none. Whether you are spending the day in your favorite game or planning on doing some office work and emails, the Function Elite will help you get the job done. The multi-level feet make sure that the keyboard is always at the right height for the individual user, keeping you as comfortable as possible, even after prolonged usage.

The TKL size is also great for saving desk space, especially if you have a smaller desk. When combined with the Lift Elite Mouse, you really have yourself a winning combo no matter the task at hand!
