CES may officially start tomorrow, but that didn’t stop Acer from having some media over to their suite today to show off some of what they have coming this year.

Acer Laptops

One of the main things I noticed is that their laptops are now coming with 16 and 18-inch screens. Innovation is always key and it seems that over the next year or two, these sizes may become the norm, offering us a bit more screen space as standard.

Aspire Vevo 16

This is Acer’s top laptop when it comes to being Carbon Neutral. The Aspire Veo 16 chassis is made from 60%+ PCR and the packaging is 100% recyclable. This is quite impressive and should mean we will be seeing more eco-friendly products from Acer soon.

The Aspire Veo 16 comes with either an Intel Core Ultra 5 or Ultra 7 CPU, up to 16GB LPDDR5, Intel Graphics, and can even come with a 2TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD as standard. It may focus on being eco-friendly, but it still packs a punch as far as performance is concerned.

Swift X 14

This laptop is what I would call a mini powerhouse. The Swixt X 14 can come with an Intel Core Ultra 5 or 7 CPU, up to 32GB LPDDR5X memory, a 4050/4060/4070 GPU, up to a 1TB NVMe SSD, and its 14.5″ display can come with either 2560×1600 IPS screen or a 2880×1880 120Hz OLED display.

Designed with gamers in mind, the Helios 16 has some impressive specs that will make gamers happy! The Helios 16 comes with either an Intel core I7-14700HX or an i9-14900HX, up to 32GB DDR% memory, up to 4TB of Gen for NVMe storage in RAID 0, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 and is packing a 16″ Mini LED WQXGA 2560×1600 250 Hz display.

Predator Helios 18

The big brother to the Helios 16, this laptop has very similar specs, just a bigger screen. The Helios 18 comes with an Intel Core i9-14900Hx, up to 32GB DDR5 and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090, up to 4TB NVMe storage in RAID 0, and a 18″ Mini LED WQXGA 2560×1600 250Hz display

 Helios NEO 16 and 18

Very similar to the standard Helios models, the NEO variants have a couple of small changes to make them a bit more affordable. They come with 2560×1600 240Hz IPS displays, GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, up to 32GB DDR5 memory and up to 2 TB NVMe storage in RAID 0.

Triton NEO 16

Designed more for the “office” gamer, the Triton Neo 16 features the best of both worlds. It gets rid of all the overkill RGB and “Gamer” looks and packs a punch in a more office-friendly design. Don’t let the looks fool you, this bad boy is still packing some serious hardware under the hood.

It comes with an Intel Core Ultra 5/7/9 CPU, up to 32GB LPDDR5X memory, up to a GeForce RTX 4070 and up to 2TB of Gen 4 NVMe storage in RAID 0.

SpatialLabs Stereoscopic 3D Solutions

Acer is making a big push on its SpatialLabs products and I for one cannot wait to see more of these! While you can’t see the 3D in the images below, let me tell you it is amazing! I was blown back by how some of the images seemed as if they were coming out of the monitor. This needs to be seen in person to fully appreciate just how well it works. One of the cool things is the fact that the 3D images get calibrated to your individual needs. You just get in front of the monitor with its sensors and after a couple of seconds, the 3D sets in and you can enjoy all it has to offer.

You can even get the SpatialLabs technology on Acer’s Aspire 3D 15 SpatialLabds edition laptop. Not only does this laptop come with SpatialLabs, but it also has some great hardware as well. It comes with a 15.6″ UHD 3840×2160 IPS display, Intel Core i5 or I7 CPU, up to 32GB GDDR5 memory a GeForce RTX 2050 or 4050 GPU, and either 1TB of Gen 3 or Gen 4 storage.

It is quite impressive what this technology can do. If I remember correctly, they said there were around 130 games currently that can make use of this and they are expecting around 30-40 more games per month to adopt this technology moving forward. Using this technology, especially with a multi-monitor setup is truly going to be a game changer for gaming and I really cannot wait to see more of this.

Acer also had their Connect X7 and Connect T7 routers on display. The X7 is going to use a sim and give you 5G and Wi-Fi 7 while the T7 is a Wi-Fi 7 mesh router. Both of these are going to expand your network capabilities with ease and I hope we can get one of the T7s in for review at some point just to see how it does compared to our standard router.
