SilverStone IceMyst 360 Pro: A Powerful Cooling Solution
SilverStone has released the next iteration of the IceMyst cooler named IceMyst Pro. The new coolers are available in 240mm and 360mm sizes. While SilverStone has retained the same footprint and design on the Pro series as on the original IceMyst AIO coolers, there are subtle changes that make the new cooler more effective and powerful.
The salient features include:
- Large copper base for AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro, covers CPU and supports mainstream AMD/Intel sockets.
- Next-gen three-phase, six-pole motor delivers double the max flow (LPM) compared to the previous IceMyst series.
- Expandable water block supports IMF70 ARGB for enhanced cooling performance.
- Modular fan cables for fast setup and tidy routing.
- High-pressure blades with a sealed frame for stronger radiator airflow.
- Rotatable pump cap aligns snowflake logo with any case.
- ARGB fan with anti-vibration pads to reduce noise and vibration.
- Built-in ARGB controller with 10 modes, adjustable brightness, and speed.
The major change comes in the pump design, followed by the induction of a streamlined mounting kit in the Pro series. The fans in the Pro series are customized as well to generate more airflow at high air pressure. Another key note is the out-of-the-box support for the AMD Threadripper CPUs using a large copper base.
This cooler is compatible with iMF70-ARGB fans as well. However, SilverStone has improved the pump top design to attach these fans to the top. The new cooler is compatible with Intel LGA115x/1200/1700/1851 and AMD AM4/AM5/TR4/sTR5 sockets.
MSRP of the 360mm cooler has a price tag of USD 149.99, and it has a warranty of 3-years.

Closer Look
Let’s start with the radiator.

The radiator is made of aluminum material and has a dimension of 396x120x28mm without fans. The overall height would be 53mm with the 120x25mm fans. It has an FPI count of 20 and 12 channels for the coolant flow. The mounting holes on opposite ends have a standard gap of 105mm. I did not observe any bent or broken fin.

The connection between tubes and barbs is well concealed with clamps. There are a couple of stickers over here showing the serial number, part number, and power rating of the unit. It seems like this unit has a third port with a large-sized cover. This port seems to be factory reserved. Don’t tamper with it or the unit might lose vacuum pressure.

I am showing a side view of the radiator, including the tubes and block. The side frame of the radiator has no branding. The tube length is 460mm, which is quite evident from the picture. This cooler uses a rubber tube with fine threads and has a fine nylon braided mesh sleeve.
Block/Pump Top

This cooler has the same footprint as the IceMyst series coolers. The main housing has a dimension of 73x65x87mm (WxHxD). This is a bit different than the IceMyst’s block, which has a dimension of 73x70x84mm. The design is circular and finished ina silver accent. The top cover or lid is 360ᵒ rotatable. The snowflake logo would remain upright with this rotation feature. This logo is ARGB backlit.

The sides of the main housing have no stenciling or branding. You can see that the middle portion of the housing is flat compared to the overall ring pattern. Another key note is a thick diffuser that runs the entire length of the housing. This produces subtle ARGB lighting.

Looking at the backside, you can see a cable connector below the diffuser line. A pump power cable comes out separately from the upper base section. The cable connector can be removed, meaning you can remove the complete cable that is for the ARGB lighting and to power the optional iMF70-ARGB fans. You can also see two tube connections in 90° angle. These are using rotary fittings.

The pump is not PWM regulated. The cable has a 3-pin DC connector. The pump has a speed of 3000±10% RPM at 12VDC using 0.38A. The pump on the IceMyst series cooler has 3100±10% RPM speed. The pump motor utilizes a three-phase, six-pole design delivering double the max flow (LPM) compared to IceMyst series coolers.

The other cable is used for ARGB lighting on the pump top in addition to the optional iMF70-ARGB fans, and this cable also provides PWM regulation for the iMF70-ARGB fans. In case you are not interested in ARGB lighting on the pump top and not going to use the iMF70-ARGB fans then you can disconnect this cable entirely from the pump for better cable management, reducing cable clutter.
iMF70-ARGB Fan Connection

I have removed the top cover or cap. You can see a white ring design covering the diffuser. It is secured using a pushpin. The complete diffuser is removable. This design is different than the regular IceMyst cooler.

Now, you can see the inner top of the main housing after removing the diffuser. You can see two channels. One is on the exterior, and the other is on the interior. This provides the feature to rotate the iMF70-ARGB fans as per the requirement, adjusting their position towards the motherboard VRM, near the socket area, DIMM slots, and PCIe slot.
You can also see a 6-port header. This is where the 6-port connector on the iM70-ARGB fan is connected. Each fan comes with a header on one side and a connector on the opposite side, hence making it possible to attach more than one fan at a time.
You need to secure the fans on the housing using the push pins that need to be inserted in the two holes on the housing.

The above pictures illustrate the IMF70-ARGB fan upgrade kit over the block.
Fans

SilverStone has provided 3x 120mm ARGB fans with this cooler. Each fan has 7x white blades for even ARGB light diffusion. We can see a slightly sloped-down design on the air intake sides of the fan’s frame. The anti-vibration pads are over the mounting corners.

Looking at the backside of the fan, there is a 4-arm assembly. One arm has a wider body. The wires are routed over this body from the center towards the frame. These fans are rated for 0.21A at 12VDC. These fans are made in China.

The frame of the fan is quite sturdy. It is black in color. There is a textured pattern on the mid-section, which is for aesthetic purposes. We can spot arrow markers that provide visual aid in determining the direction of airflow through the fan and the direction in which the blades would spin.

The frame is quite sturdy and has a stripe design on the side. One side has arrow markers showing the direction in which blades spin and the direction of airflow through the fan.

The fan header is integrated right into the main frame. It is an 8-pin connector for which an adapter extension cable is provided separately.

SilverStone has provided a single adapter cable that has three splitter ends to be connected to these fans. The other end has a 4-pin PWM and standard ARGB connectors. There is also a Y-ARGB cable.

The above picture illustrates the fans’ cable management concept on the IceMyst 360 Pro cooler. The salient specifications include:
| Dimension | 120x120x25mm |
| Speed Range | 500 – 2200 RPM ±10% |
| Noise Level | 11.3 to 33.5 dB(A) |
| Air Flow | 83.68 CFM Max |
| Static Pressure | 4.01mmH₂O Max |
Installation

We are not covering the details of installation. I only report the observation if any are recorded during the installation. This cooler has a much better installation on the AMD platform, unlike the two-point contact method on the IceMyst series cooler. It has a four-point contact.
A-RGB Lighting

SilverStone has provided an ARGB controller that is SATA powered. It is the same design as I have been seeing on other coolers from SilverStone, hence I am not going into details here. This is optional in case you want to use the motherboard header to control and sync the ARGB lighting.

This cooler uses a standard ARGB connector for the digital RGB lighting. This makes this cooler compatible with the RGB sync technologies of motherboard manufacturers.

The fans are 100% speed made a sound output of 43 dB(A).
Conclusion
SilverStone has released IceMyst Pro series liquid coolers based on the IceMyst series cooler, but with fine refinements. The new coolers have the same footprint but their specs are customized to deliver a better performance compared to the IceMyst series coolers.
I have tested the IceMyst 360 Pro cooler and compared it with the IceMyst 360 cooler. This cooler is compatible with Intel LGA115x/1200/1700/1851 and AMD AM4/AM5/TR4/sTR5 sockets. The support for AMD Threadripper is among the major differences between the Pro and regular versions of IceMyst coolers. The Pro version comes with a large-sized copper base and mounting bracket for AMD Threadripper.
SilverStone has used an aluminum radiator that has a height of 28mm without a fan. Total height is 53mm with the fan. The radiator has 20 FPI count and 12 channels for coolant flow. This unit uses 460mm long rubber tubes with a mesh sleeve.
The pump top or block has the same footprint as on the regular version of the IceMyst cooler, but dimension is bit different, and the top design for iMF70-ARGB fans is a bit different. The top cover is rotatable in 360ᵒ so that the snowflake logo remains upright.
The housing has two channels to attach and rotate the iMF70-ARGB fans, and the connection is established via an 8-pin port. You can stack iMF70-ARGB fans over each other. A single cable controls the speed of these fans and the ARGB lighting of all elements.
The pump uses a 3-phase, 6-pole motor design that is capable of delivering double the max flow of the regular series IceMyst coolers’ pump. The unit comes with three 120mm ARGB fans. These fans increased airflow and air pressure rating over the fans on the regular IceMyst cooler. These fans are rated for up to 2200 RPM, generating 83.68 CFM airflow at 4.01mmH₂O static pressure at a noise output of 35.5 dB(A).
These fans use proprietary 8-pin headers integrated into the frame. A 3-way adapter cable connects all three fans, enabling the user to use a single cable for all connectivity, reducing the clutter. It has a 4-pin PWM connector and 3-pin standard ARGB connectors on the terminating end.
Installation of this cooler on AM5 is a simple and convenient task requiring 9 items to mount the block over the CPU. This cooler has a better AM5 mounting compared to the regular IceMyst cooler. Also, the Intel backplate comes with integrated screws, covering my observations/complaints on previous coolers. Well done, team SilverStone!
The IceMyst 360 Pro is listed at USD 149.99 and probably comes with a warranty period of 3-years. It has a fantastic performance with almost 2°C difference over the regular IceMyst coolers. The noise output is a bit elevated at full speed, but nothing that can’t be tamed using a custom fan curve or the Auto PWM function.
