Valkyrie V360 LCD ARGB White Review: Beauty and Beast
In my last take, I tested the VIND DL125 White CPU air cooler from the Valkyrie. This time, I am taking a spin on their flagship liquid cooler, V360 LCD. This cooler is available in 240mm and 360mm sizes in black and white.
The salient features are the new generation of high-performance pumps from V-series liquid coolers and a stunning 3.5” LCD screen. S12 ARGB fans are provided, which generate high airflow at impressive air pressure, delivering high-performance.
This cooler has an MSRP of €208.25. However, it is on sale at the time of this writing and listed at €117.22, which is an excellent value for your bucks. The cooler has a 5-year warranty from the manufacturer.

Closer Look
It is time to take a look at the unit itself, starting with the statement from the manufacturer. “The Valkyrie V360 AIO pairs bold visual design with flagship performance. A high-speed, award-winning pump powers the system, while our radiator-cooling optimized fans deliver massive airflow and static pressure with near-silent precision.”
Radiator

The S12 ARGB white fans come pre-installed over the radiator. Like the V360 AIO that I tested earlier, this cooler also has two decorative covers running on the entire side or length of the fans, providing a neat and clean outlook.
One side cover has a simple white layout with Valkyrie branding, whereas the other side has ARGB LEDs inside the cover. A diffuser line is provided for some vivid ARGB lighting.

A single cable comes out from the fan assembly. It is a flat cable using a 7-pin proprietary connector. The terminating ends of the cable have standard 4-pin PWM and 3-pin ARGB connectors. Another cable comes from the side frame that has a standard 3-pin ARGB connector as well. This regulates the LEDs under the side cover.

I have removed both side covers. You can see that one has a hollow inside, whereas the other has a frame that encapsulates the LED strip. Each fan has a short cable, and fans are daisy-chained for a single source control.

This side of the radiator and fans have ARGB LED cover. This is a side that would be facing the side of the PC Case, or in other words, this is a visible side of the radiator inside the PC Case.

The radiator is made of aluminum material and has dimensions of 397x120x27mm (LxWxH). Installing 120x25mm fans would make the overall height 52mm. The radiator has a 20 FPI count with 12 channels for the coolant flow inside the radiator. A gap of 105mm is between the two mounting holes on opposite ends.

The tubes’ connections with the barbs are concealed with white clamps. A sticker shows the serial number and model of the unit.

Valkyrie uses CIRR and EPDM material for the tube with a corrugated braided sleeve. The tube length is 450mm, which is enough for any need. Valkyrie branding is visible on the radiator frame in the center.
Pump Block/Top

The cooler features a removable display screen, which comes pre-installed or placed over the pump top. It has a stunning design in a square shape. The dimension is 86x74x68.5mm

The screen housing has no branding on any side.

The backside has two offset mount connections between the tube and 90-degree barbed fittings. The clamps are white, but the fittings are black.

The pump is PWM regulated, and it is rated for 800 to 2800 RPM ± 10%. A 9-pin USB 2.0 connector is provided for software-based control of the LCD display screen.

The pump top itself is circular and has a slim profile. 4x magnets can be seen on the top to which the LCD display module is attached.

The pump top has a pre-installed mounting plate that has two spring-loaded screws.

The cooler has a copper base and comes with pre-applied thermal paste.

Valkyrie has provided a 3-way ARGB split extension cable and a USB 2.0 to USB Type-A adapter cable. This cable allows you to connect the USB cable coming from the screen to the rear IO of the motherboard, in case on-board USB 2.0 headers are not available or spare.
Display Screen

The display module is detachable as it uses a magnetic attachment over the pump top. The screen has a 3.5” IPS display screen with a 60Hz refresh rate. No other data is provided on the screen. One side of the housing has stenciling, giving a stylish outlook to the unit. 4x screws make contact with the magnets on the pump top for a fit. A green-colored PCB can be seen under the hood.
Fans

Valkyrie has provided 3x S12 ARGB white fans with this cooler. Each fan has 9x blades. The trailing edge of each blade has a protruded or raised surface. This is probably to ensure the maximum airflow while reducing the air turbulence. The center has a silver finish, and we can see that there is a CNC-milled bearing shell that is made of brass material. This provides added stability and precision. You can see a stylish cutout design between the mainframe and corners, packing diffusers for subtle ARGB backlighting.

The side of a fan has a Valkyrie text and branding in the center. The ARGB lighting is visible on the side frame as well.

The backside view of the fan shows grill patterns on the blades, which remind me of the be quiet! fans design that has similar layers, but on the front. The angular 4-arms assembly provides a focused flow. S12W is the model of the fan. The OEM of the fan is EVERFLOW, and they are made in China.
Valkyrie Figure

Valkyrie has bundled a gift in this cooler, which is a Valkyrie figure with a stand mount. The 9 pieces are made of acrylic material. The main plate has a picture of the figure. The black base has two ARGB LED strips for backlighting. This would look good in Valkyrie themed build.

Figure in action.
Installation

We are not covering the details of installation. I only report if there is any issue or observation recorded during installation. 12 items are required on the AMD platform. I faced an issue when installing silver brackets as they were not aligning in parallel, which resulted in tilted mounting of the pump top. If I were able to align them perfectly, then the spring-loaded screws on the pump top would not align with the standoffs. Other than that, it was a simple installation.
Myth.Cool Software

When I tested the SYN 360 cooler earlier, I made several observations regarding software. Valkyrie has optimized and refined the software, and I must say, they have done a good job this time. The software is much better than the earlier version, though you would still need to spend some time with it get a hang of it, particularly when customizing the display. A video tutorial from Valkyrie would be a good help.

Some display pictures on the screen.
A-RGB Lighting

The extension cable for the fans uses standard connectors, which makes the ARGB lighting compatible with the RGB sync technology of the motherboard manufacturers.
Testing
The following configuration is used for thermal testing:
- AMD Ryzen 9 9900X [243W, 200W]
- ASRock X870E NOVA WiFi
- GSkill TridentZ NEO RGB 32GB 6400MHz CL30 DDR5 kit
- ASRock Phantom Gaming RX 7600 Graphics Card for Display
- Biwin X570 Pro 4TB PCIe Gen5 NVMe SSD
- Fractal Design ION+2 860W Platinum PSU
- Thermaltake Core P6 TG Snow Edition in an open frame layout

Here is the settings table for testing:
| Settings | 243W and 200W for this cooler |
| Clock (MHz) | Auto |
| Voltage (V) | Auto |
| Thermal Paste | Noctua NT-H2 |
| Thermal Paste Application | Dots Method |
| Test Run Time | 30 minutes |
| Idling Time | 10 minutes |
| All Fans Speed | 100% PWM Duty Cycle |
| Pump Speed | |
| Stress Software | CINEBENCH R23.2 |
| Monitoring Software | HWINFO64 |
I am reporting absolute temperature in the graph because the room temperature was at 22°C throughout the day. The testing is done on an open-air bench system. Once inside the chassis, the temperatures are expected to rise and would largely depend upon the optimal airflow inside the chassis.
